There are many aspects of trust that are important. The Love Factor is primarily focused upon your trust in life as a positive experience. If your trust has been damaged due to great disappointments in life, then try the following:
(1) Find a teacher, mentor, therapist, or loved-one that is truly a fine, decent, kind and honest person. Stay in a relationship with that person, and talk to them about your feelings. Every time you begin to mistrust them, without real cause, talk about your feelings so you can overcome your fears. This is a process of relearning. Give yourself some time to work through your old response patterns. Be patient with yourself.
(2) Learn to detach from your emotions and your mind. They may tell you not to trust someone, but your deeper Self my find a reason to do so. Become a wise observer of people in order to perceive if you have any real basis for your mistrust. If you cannot find any real basis for your fear, then talk to the inner parts of yourself regarding your mistrust. Explore your emotions and your personal history to find out the source of this concern. Develop your ability to discern the truth of your experience through introspection.
(3) Find a group of truly loving, supportive people, and spend a lot of time with them. These individuals may be from a Church, a support group, or a class. Put out the energy to find some new friends.
(4) Find security within your Self. Deepen your relationship with the Divine. If you can truly feel the presence of God within, you will feel a great sense of security and comfort in your life.
